Constant evolution
New solutions for diagnosis and treatment
Information, knowledge, learning and implementing protocols of action are undoubtedly a premise today. We live in constant evolution and at SHC Medical research is always at the heart of our plans of action.
We are currently developing projects with public and private hospitals, and domestic and foreign universities to find new solutions for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with Central Sensitivity Syndrome.
Current lines of research
1. Research in collaboration with: IBIS, UPO/CABD, UPO/CABIMER, VIAMED Santa Ángela de la Cruz Hospital (Seville).
- Evaluation of mitochondrial function and its relationship with globotriaosilesphingosine levels in the development of neuropathic pain (phase I).
2. Research in collaboration with: UPO/CABIMER, VIAMED Santa Ángela de la Cruz Hospital (Seville).
- Search for diagnostic biomarkers and evolution of Central Sensitivity Syndrome.
3. Research in collaboration with: Virgen del Rocío University Hospital / IBIS, Santa Ángela de la Cruz VIAMED Hospital (Seville).
- Screening for Fabry disease in patients with fibromyalgia syndrome.
4. Research in collaboration with: AEPAC, VIAMED Santa Ángela de la Cruz Hospital, Seville.
- Comparative study of patients diagnosed with migraine and/or tension headache and Central Sensitivity Syndrome: diagnosis, treatment and evolution.
5. Research in collaboration with: UPO, University Mayor de Chile, VIAMED Santa Ángela de la Cruz Hospital, (Seville).
- • Diagnosis, treatment and evolution of the symptoms and quality of life of patients with fibromyalgia treated with ELF (“extremely low frequency”).
Future lines of research
1. IResearch in collaboration with: UPO/CABIMER, VIAMED Santa Ángela de la Cruz Hospital (Seville).
- Intestinal permeability test with lipopolysaccharides for the diagnosis and evolution of Central Sensitivity Syndrome.
- Development of a diagnostic kit with biochemical parameters for fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
- Development of basophil activation test for the study of food sensitivity.
2. Research in collaboration with: Virgen del Rocío University Hospital / IBIS, Santa Ángela de la Cruz VIAMED Hospital (Seville).

Agreements
SHC Medical’s activity includes agreements with university and educational institutions, research centres, etc. The goal of these agreements is to train, educate, promote and guarantee the professional skills of students in related courses in the area of health, as well as medical, pharmaceutical and environmental science professionals.
